Some wedding days just have a little bit of everything. Sunshine, surprises, emotional moments, children running around enjoying themselves, Highland cows wandering through the gardens… Chloe and Daniel’s wedding at Sparth House definitely fell into that category.
Sparth House sits right on the edge of the Ribble Valley area and is one of those venues that feels tucked away once you arrive. The gardens, trees, and hidden pathways make it feel far removed from everything else going on outside

Morning Preparations
The day started with me and Isobel, our content creator, arriving early at Sparth House to capture Chloe getting ready with the bridal party. Meanwhile Sarah had headed off on what should have been a quick equipment run to Mitton Hall… before almost accidentally joining another wedding at Stirk House and taking the scenic route back instead. Fortunately, Lancashire wedding venues are all fairly close together, so disaster was avoided.
Inside, the atmosphere was calm and excited in equal measure. Chloe and the bridal party were in great spirits, while Isobel quietly blended into the morning capturing loads of behind the scenes content throughout the day.
One of the biggest advantages of having our own content creator alongside us is how naturally everyone works together. Nobody gets in each other’s shots, everything flows properly, and the couple benefit from having loads of extra memories captured without the day ever feeling interrupted.

Daniel arrived later with the children before meeting the rest of the groomsmen inside the main house to get ready. The Sparth House staff were on hand helping fix buttonholes and straighten ties before guests started arriving.
We were also working alongside photographer Neil White for the day, someone we’ve filmed alongside many times before, so we already knew it was going to be a strong team effort from start to finish.
A Sparth House Wedding Ceremony Full of Storytelling
The ceremony was led by celebrant Vicky Harris, whose ceremonies always feel personal and relaxed rather than overly formal.
She narrated Chloe and Daniel’s story brilliantly, from how they met right through to this point in their lives, completely holding the attention of everyone in the room. A couple of poems were read during the ceremony too, one of which sounded so lovely that I ended up including part of it in the teaser film itself.

A First for Us… Highland Cows
Sparth House do things a little differently when it comes to confetti. Rather than throwing it immediately outside the ceremony room, they usually save it for the beautifully lit gardens at the rear of the venue later in the day.
Which worked out perfectly… because straight after the ceremony came something entirely new for us.
Highland cows.
Not one, but two of them. A mother and son pairing who had travelled down from Scotland that very morning courtesy of Crazy Critters Experience Ltd. They regularly appear at weddings, events, and even film productions, and we were told they tend to work in pairs that know each other well.
These two absolutely stole the show.
Daniel had no idea they were coming, making them one of Chloe’s surprise additions to the day. The reactions from guests were brilliant, although their son did get slightly too close to the horns at one point… thankfully with no lasting damage done.

Confetti Under the Trees
Later in the afternoon we held the confetti walk along one of Sparth House’s garden pathways beneath the trees and hanging lights, which created a much more intimate setting than the usual wide open exit shot.
The weather stayed ideal throughout, allowing guests to properly enjoy the gardens and outdoor spaces before heading inside for dinner and speeches.
Daniel delivered a particularly moving speech, one of those speeches that feels genuine rather than over rehearsed, and gave us some brilliant moments to work into the final film.
Evening Celebrations
The evening entertainment was run by Dave Cheetham, who somehow managed to fit in a mini disco for the children before transitioning seamlessly into the main evening party.
Then came one of the most unexpected and entertaining moments of the night.
Chloe took to the dance floor singing Disney songs with her guests, something that suddenly made perfect sense once we learned one of her many jobs involves running a company specialising in Disney princess performances for events.
Judging by the reactions in the room, plenty of her team were there too, because somehow everyone knew both the words and the choreography.
What followed was some of the best completely unplanned dance floor choreography we’ve ever filmed.
And honestly, it summed the entire day up perfectly.
Fun, relaxed, personal, and completely centred around family and personality.
