Filming at Mitton Hall

Having filmed weddings at Mitton Hall, there are a few locations and small details that make a real difference to how the day looks on film.

For bridal preparations, the front suite of the hotel offers the best natural light, making it ideal for those final dress and finishing-touch moments. The suite at the rear of the building, however, provides more space and privacy, which works particularly well for capturing a relaxed first look before the ceremony.

After the ceremony, confetti moments look especially striking when filmed from the main entrance rather than the ceremony doorway. The wider space and balanced backdrop create a more symmetrical and visually pleasing shot as guests celebrate around you.

Inside the venue, the staircase and balcony provide wonderful opportunities for elegant overhead shots, with the impressive chandelier adding a real sense of scale and atmosphere to the film.

For couple portraits later in the day, the lower rear gardens offer a beautiful setting for sunset footage across the Ribble Valley. Some areas of the grass can occasionally be a little soft, but once you reach the main paths the access is easy and the views make it well worth the short walk.

These small choices throughout the day help create a film that not only captures the emotion of your wedding, but also makes the most of everything that makes Mitton Hall such a special venue.
